The Association is an informal affiliation of schools established by Ren Guang-Yi and his students.

Primarily based in the northeastern United States, where Ren teaches in New York and Philadelphia, the Association extends to other schools and instructors in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Wisconsin, California, and Puerto Rico.

Ren also teaches at seminars throughout the United States and abroad.
